PASTUCAR is a dissemination project within the framework of the demonstration activities and technology transfer of the regional government of Catalonia. The main objective of PASTUCAR is to transfer knowledge on good management practices that promote the preservation and accumulation of carbon in pastures, as well as soil fertility, biodiversity conservation and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions.
This knowledge has been generated thanks to research, the work of experts in the field, and farmers and managers of the agro-livestock sector, who have carried out management actions that promote the entry of soil carbon, encouraging more productive and sustainable pastoral systems.
PASTUCAR aims to unify these diverse visions and generate a space for the transfer of knowledge, presenting scientific results and giving visibility to agro-livestock producer and managers s who have made a commitment for more sustainable livestock systems.
