I am a terrestrial community ecologist. My research focuses on the analysis of the different facets of biodiversity (taxonomic, functional and phylogenetic), in particular its response to global change drivers. My main study groups are soil fauna, mostly insects, and their interactions with plants and their role on ecosystem functions such as organic matter decomposition and nutrient cycling. I am leading the Insect Ecology & Global Change group at the University of Barcelona.
